Welcome to The Queen's Maine Coon — a boutique, family-run cattery located in Cincinnati, Ohio, a city known as the Queen City. We are a small, intentional operation. We produce a limited number of litters each year by design, because quality of life for our cats and quality of experience for our families are things that cannot be scaled without being lost.

Who We Are

The Queen's Maine Coon is registered with both TICA (The International Cat Association) and CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association). We specialize exclusively in European-lineage Maine Coons — a lineage chosen for its striking, majestic appearance, characterized by high cheekbones, prominent lynx ear tips, tufted paws, large bone structure, and a full, dramatic mane that sets these cats apart from American-bred Maine Coons. We have been breeding Maine Coons for four years, guided throughout by a mentor with over 30 years of breed-specific experience. That relationship gives us access to decades of accumulated knowledge about genetics, health, temperament, and responsible breeding — knowledge that directly shapes every decision we make.

How We Breed

Every cat in our breeding program is genetically tested through Optimal Selection, screening for 60+ breed-specific genetic diseases including Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). All of our breeding cats undergo regular HCM cardiac screening via echocardiogram — the gold standard for detecting Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, the most common heart disease in Maine Coons. We are also adding hip dysplasia screening to our protocol as our veterinarian completes their certification.

We select our breeding cats for both physical traits and temperament. A cat that does not embody the calm, affectionate, social nature Maine Coons are known for does not belong in our program, regardless of how beautiful they are — because those traits are heritable, and we breed for them with the same intentionality we bring to everything else.

How We Raise Our Kittens

Our kittens are raised in our home as members of our family — not in a separate cattery, barn, or facility. From birth, they are handled daily and socialized with cats, dogs, children, and adults of all ages. We introduce puzzle feeders and enrichment toys early to develop their natural intelligence and curiosity. Every kitten is also acclimated to car travel, which reflects our broader philosophy: we want kittens who are confident and adaptable, ready for whatever their new life looks like.

Kittens go home between 13 and 16 weeks of age, fully prepared. Every kitten leaves with age-appropriate vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian, a complete deworming schedule, a HomeAgain microchip pre-registered in your name with one year of premium services, Rainwalk pet insurance starting from six weeks and transferred to you at pickup, a three-year health guarantee, a spay/neuter contract through SpaySecure, a custom Queen's Maine Coon harness, and a kitten starter kit with ongoing weekly guidance emails to help you prepare.

Our Commitment to You

We serve families across the United States and internationally. When we deliver, your kitten travels with us personally — flying in-cabin or by car — never in cargo. Free pickup and free delivery to CVG and Dayton airports are available for local and regional families.

Our relationship with adopting families does not end at pickup. We are a lifelong resource — available for questions, guidance, and support for the entire life of your cat. We believe that a well-informed owner is the best thing that can happen to a Maine Coon, and we take that responsibility seriously.

If you are looking for a healthy, beautifully bred, well-socialized Maine Coon kitten — raised with intention and placed with care — we would love to hear from you.
