I Want a Maine Coon Kitten, How does the process work?

Want a Main Coon Kitten? This is one of our favorite questions.

Application and Approval process:
If you are interested in any available kittens, we highly encourage you to fill out the application ASAP. We will be reviewing applications in the order in which they are received. Those that are approved will be placed onto our reservation list in the same order. Should we require clarification on something, we will email you requesting further information. Once we have sent this request, we will hold that spot on the list for you for the next 24 hours. If we do not hear from you at that time, your application will be moved to the back of the line.

Zoom Meeting:
Once you have been approved, we will reach out to let you know your place on the reservation list and to set up a Zoom meeting so that we can meet you and you can meet with us and a few of our kittens. This will allow you to be able to see the kittens in action as they play with us and their brothers and sisters. Sometimes people make a decision based on looks (spoiler alert: they will all grow up looking cool). We want you to love their personalities as well.

Deposit and signing of the Sales Contract:
The kittens will go to their first vet visit. Once we get the all-clear from our vet, we will reach out to those on our reservation list (in order) to take deposits and for you to sign our Sales Contract. Once we reach out, we will need to hear from you within 24 hours to hold your spot, or we will move on to the next person on the list. If we get to you and you are not interested in any kittens still available, you will have the option of bypassing a kitten this round, and you will be automatically moved to the list for our next litter.

Getting to know your new kitten:
Once we have a deposit for your kitten, we will keep you updated with baby pictures, videos, and "getting ready for your new kitten" emails. At this point, if you would like to schedule a Zoom call focused on your kitten, we can do that. If you are local to the Cincinnati area and weather permits, we will also keep you informed regarding an in-person meet-and-greet a week or so before our mamas are ready to let their kittens go to their forever homes.

Going Home:
The kitten will be available to go home at 12-16 weeks, at the breeder’s discretion. By this time: 3 sets of vaccinations will be complete, the cat/kitten will be microchipped, and health records will be provided by a licensed veterinarian.  Pickup in the Greater Cincinnati, OH area or delivery to CVG and DAY Airport is available at no additional charge. Any other delivery fees required are additional; they are NOT included in the price of the cat. The balance for the kitten will be due 7 business days prior to delivery of the kitten.
